I've been wanting to make high quality marimba recordings without breaking the bank. Does anyone have any suggestions on Mics, micing techniques for marimba, and interfaces for such a job?
I saw a couple threads for micing a marimba in a marching band type senario, but I'm not that knowledgeable on how recording would change the techniques and equipment.
I have a Mac Pro and a Powerbook G4 that I will primarily be using for all this. Any help would be appreciated :)

I am assuming you are recording a single marimba. . . So . . .
I love these mics for marimba stuff. . . and they come with USB adapters.
