My computer died. I saved many of the files to an auxiliary disk, but VDL is no where to be found. I figured no sweat, I have the install disk and the serial number. But when I try to install, the installer program just quits.
Now, since I just ";copied"; stuff and didn't do a clean removal of stuff (lucky to get what I got off the drive) things are a bit of a mess. It took me quite a bit to get Sibelius to work again. Finale works OK, but does not recognize any sound sets.
Anything I can do to get VDL 2.5 to install?
I know I messed things up, but I have almost no choice. This time, I bought ANOTHER drive and I have Time Machine installed.
Well, I got GPO to install and Sibelius Essential Sounds after entering the Leopard patch. But still, although I have the original install disk and serial number -- I cannot get VDL 2.5 to install. The installer just ";quits";. No error message, nothing. Just quits.
There has to be a way to install it so Sibelius can use it (or Finale, I own both). But it will not install. Any ideas at all before I lose what is left of my mind? I have poked around this board and the Sibelius board and no luck - yet.
Thanks Bryan! That was it. I do not know how I missed it, but I did (up too late I guess). GPO, Essential Sounds and VDL all had Leopard installer patches. Only made sense.
