Hello, What is a good, not too pricey midi controler that is very portable? I would like to stay under $200, not too bulky and will fit in my computer bag with my laptop.

Korg Nanokey is a great portable solution. If you want something more substantial go with the KeyRig 25. I believe both are sold through Tapspace.

I messed around with it at a convention. Should be decent if all you're needing is something lightweight.

tried to use the controller...I connected the USB and it started loading the driver, then it said it failed. Anyone know what the problem could be?

Go to the Korg site and make sure you have the latest driver.

I got it to work, and having a midi controller sure makes things easier...I ended up taking the korg back and got the Oxygen 8, so now I am leaning that one.
