Now that I have virtual drumline I need to merge my wind parts with it...I have tried several different things but no sound.

You need to give us more information. What notation program are you using?  Did you purchase and are you using the template?

My bad. Finale2010 on a mac...my percussion writer is using Finale2008 on windows. I was able to get battery sounds to play just fine.

Do I need to purchase a special template in order for it to work?

Here is the template for Finale 2009 [url=https://www.tapspace.com/VDL-Template-for-Finale-2009-pr-93.html] https://www.tapspace.com/VDL-Template-for-Finale-2009-pr-93.html[/url].  Be sure to read the disclaimer at the bottom of the page.  Tapspace is working on a 2010 template.  I'm a Sibelius guy so I can't help with your issue in this case, perhaps one of the Finale gurus on here can assist.

Were you having trouble getting the VDL 2.5 sounds to play, or were you having trouble getting the wind sounds to play?

Were you able to get both scores merged into one document?

If you could provide us with a bit more information about what exactly you are trying to perform and what is not working correctly, we can get you some better information.

Yes, I was able to take the document that my percussion writer sent and add the wind parts using the staff wizard...the sounds were the issue.

Was it the VDL 2.5 sounds or the wind sounds that are not playing back?

When I open the file he sent and add the VDL sounds through KP the percussion sounds work just fine. When I added the wind parts via the staff wizard no sound from any part.

Simple question,

Did you load your wind sounds using either KP2 or the included Aria player?
