Band Camp

Hope everyone out there is surviving band camp thus far, especially you guys down in Tejas. I've heard stories of heat indexes of 120 degrees in parts. Stay cool!
It was even sweltering for a few days up in Massachusetts! Thank goodness for cloud cover and night rehearsals.

Despite the heat it was one of the best band camps I've ever taught... hope everyone else's went great too!
Our band camp was pretty mild this year as well. It was really muggy and sticky wet though in the morning when the sun would burn your left side and evaporate all the dew.

Only really bad part was the AM burning your left half, and the PM buring the right half.
Our practice field was so hot I saw a bird pulling a worm out of the ground with a pot holder!
It was so hot yesterday, I could have swore I saw the Devil himself running our band camp!!!!! lol
We had a fairly mild band camp this year.  We were lucky that it was cloudy every morning while we were learning drill.  The sun would make an appearance in the afternoon just in time for full band with drill.

Temperature never got above 92 this year.

Hear hear! Enjoy that shade when you can grab it, and stay hydrated while devouring all those drill sets!

I'll hold off on rubbing in our mild Portland high-70's/low 80's summer temps. Oops...it slipped out. :)
