I am using Sibelius 6.1 and the newest VDL with the template. I am writing for my percussion ensemble, and the vibes were playing all of the pedal markings back correctly for a few weeks. Now, it sounds as if it strikes the bars first and then puts the pedal down after (so it does ring, there is just a LOT of attack and very little ring). This only happens on the first note with the pedal, all of the others play back just fine.
What did I do? How do I fix this to where everything rings evenly? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Move the pedal marking a little farther from the first note. This should give a little more time for Sibelius to trigger the command. Are you using the PED instrument from the template?

Gabe, I'm presuming that by farther from the first note you mean place the pedal marking earlier - similar to placing instrument changes earlier to get the proper noteheads to show up?
