I can't do a thing with Finale 2005. I can make it play sounds on it. That's all. The tempo always plays back at 180 no matter what, I can't get it to do rolls, I can't get the different sounds without making the notation look really wierd, I can't do anything. Someone please help me. Thanks.

There's probably an obvious solution to this, so if anyone could please at least point me out to where I can figure this out that'd be wonderful

You've given us pretty much no information about what your problem is, other than the fact that you are using Finale 2005, and it's giving you trouble.  I'm presuming that since you're on the Virtual Drumline forum, you're having problems with Virtual Drumline.

-Is it the full version of Virtual Drumline or are you using the built in marching percussion sounds (Rowloff sounds, I believe)? If you're using the full version, you'll need this template: https://www.tapspace.com/updates/VDL2Finale05template_0.9.7.zip Not all of the VDL 2.5 sounds are included in that as it was made for VDL 2.
-Do you have a fundamental knowledge of how to use Finale? If you're not able to negotiate tempo changes and such, it sounds like you at least need to learn how Finale works before delving into more difficult concepts like using virtual instruments (which is what VDL is).
