VDL 2.5 Auto Sticking Plugin for Sibelius 6

Hello all, and happy holidays.  This is a really short and simple question.  Does the VDL 2.5 Auto Sticking Plugin work for Sibelius 6?  Thanks in advance!
In its current state, it works, but won't assign the correct stickings to the notes, due to the fact that the noteheads scheme changed from the Sibelius 5 Template to the Sibelius 6 Template - for the better.

Josh Champagne (developer of said plugin) would be a better person to give a definite answer as to an expected time for an updated version.
An update to the plugin is in the works. Unfortunately, it's been on the backburner for a while, but my semester is almost done and I'll be working on it after that. :)

Yay!!!!  ;D
Any movement on the new plugin? Don't know if this would be possible, but could we notate parts say with manual snare, manual tennor, manual bass using just one hand (Right hit or Left hit). Then go back and add sticking marks to those notes, yet have the sticking marks trigger the correct sample?

If I understand what you're asking, no. What sounds get triggered are dependent on the notehead numbers that are assigned (and accompanying articulations, if applicable).

Josh, correct me if I'm wrong. The idea of the sticking plug-in is to only apply R and L sticking to music you have written in your score (using the manual instruments). The plug-in looks for specific notehead numbers in specific instruments to do this.

OK, there is one way I can think of that could get different sounds by adding ";stickings"; to a note. You would need to create two custom articulations, an 'R' and an 'L'. Then add entries in each instrument mapping for every sound you wanted this to apply to. This may sound fairly simple, but I can assure you that it's not going to be worth the time it would take to do it.
Hugh, you are correct about how the plugin works.

However, as usual, you always impress with your ability to find ways to accomplish all things related playback. (SEE Input Variables in 6.0 Template ReadMe).

Well, I don't know if I'd go that far. :)
After a day to think about it, it is well worth to just learn the mappings via keyboard controller or akai nano pad. Then just use the sticking plugin. Last night I downloaded the current plugin and found it true that the sticking is in correct in Sib 6. It was all reversed from what I actually played. So I stopped and thought what this might be. The clue was the note head issue. I went into the text file for the plugin, and found the two lines that represent the note head sticking for RH and LH. I edited the RH to a LH, and LH to a RH. I then closed out of Sib 6 and restarted. I layed down some parradiddle combo's and BAM, it was correct. Are there any other known issues besides this one? Like over the head or shots, any thing other than just simple hits. Even when I did single slash doubles it worked properly.

Some of the BassLine unison noteheads changed, due to a modification in the way Sibelius handles certain slash (or comp) noteheads, namely notehead 28.  Since you've dug into it yourself, all you would need to do is reference the Template ReadMe and add or change the R and L noteheads to the new ones.  The snare and tenor stuff, however should be pretty much the same, aside from what you've already discovered in regards to the R and L noteheads being flipped.
That's cool. Perhaps with some simple editing in the backend like this, you can essentially trick the plugin into working with Sibelius 6 as well.

Hopefully, as time permits, Josh might be able to work up a more official solution for Sibelius 6, but for now, this workaround may be the ticket.
I will try and keep working at it.if I get something good, I will post some updates.
