I am having problems with the 20"; Constantinople sus. cymbal. I enter a loud crash with mallet but keep getting a fat choke I have checked the key-maps and also the read me from the 6.0 template but no success.
Are you using the correct sound set and notehead combination (6.0 sound set and notehead 51)?
Was the 20"; Cym instrument created using an instrument change? If so, make sure you place it a bar before where you want it to happen, if you wnt the noteheads to show up properly in the measure where you want the change to happen. Once you'e written the part, you can cut and paste the instrument change directly on the measure where the first music takes place. You have to do this sometimes with un-pitched instruments.
How are you entering the music?
See the attached image for some visual references.

Yeah I am using the correct note head and the instrument change is a full measure before. I am using an axiom 49 to enter the notes and it is set to octave 0. In addition, I am not able to get different roll lengths on suspended cymbal rolls either. I am checking all the mapping and using correct note heads.

Are you sure you're using the 6.0 sound set? I tried switching to the 5.2 and 5.2.5 soundset within the 6.0 template and the 5.2 will give you a choked crash with a stick. If you want to e-mail me your score, I might be able to take a look at it and see if I can help.

We got this one sorted out via e-mail. It turns out the sound set wasn't in the correct place.
For anyone installing the sound set in the future, on Mac machines you have to create the ";Sounds"; folder yourself, making the location of that folder as follows:
You'll want to reference the attached pic for the VDL Template 6.0 mapping diagram for the Suspended Cymbals. Changes were made from 5.2.5 to 6.0 to help accommodate the release of the rolls and Input Variables were added.
A review of the Readme regarding the orange highlights may be necessary for the rolls - page 19.
