My instructor and I have come across two different notations of eggbeaters. One says that they're all even within a group of five, however we have also seen them as Bill Bachman has them with the right's being faster than the two lefts. Which is right? Are their just two different types of eggbeaters? Thanks for any help!
The image attached below are the two egg beat variations that I'm most familiar with. In the second one you're referencing, the left hand (or two note grouping) is actually faster than the right hand (or 3 note grouping).
Both are commonly accepted definitions of egg beaters, though in recent years the trend seems to have moved more towards the evenly spaced variation. Also fun is the inverted version: R r l l l.
