I had to reinstall both my programs, and I cant get Kontakt 2 to show up as a VST plug-in. I know i need to transfer some files into Finale but which ones, and into which folder?

Are you talking about Kontakt 2 or Kontakt Player 2? If you're talking about the one that came with VDL2.5, then you're talking aout Kontakt Player 2.

You need to go to the following location and copy this file:
[i]C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt Player 2\VSTPlugins\KontaktPlayer2.dll[/i]

Paste it into:
[i]C:\Program Files\[Your Version of Finale]\Finale VST\[/i]

Once Finale has been restarted after that, everything should be working as expected.
