Audio Problems

I seem to be having a problem with my audio engine, whenever I start Sibelius I get this problem a screen shot is attached. Its as if Vdl is not even installed. I don't know what to do. I am running Sibelius 6 with VDL 2.5.1 on a MacBook Pro Snow Leopard 10.6.2. If anyone can would you please help me get this problem solve.
In the future, it wouldn't be a bad idea to first search the Sibelius forum when you are having a Sibelius-specific problem. A quick search on Google using ";Sibelius Audio Engine"; produce a post with the following suggestion.  Whenever I've encountered this error in the past, this is what I've done and it solves the problem.

1. Go to /Users/[your username]/Library/Application Support/Sibelius
Software/Sibelius 6/
2. Delete the 'PlogueEngine' folder.
3. Delete the 'Playback Configurations' folder.
4. Delete 'PlaybackConfig.xml'.
5. Go to /Users/[your username]/Library/Preferences.
6. Trash com.sibelius.sibelius6.plist.
7. Empty the Trash.
8. Run Sibelius again.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Bryan That didn't work, but I did find the problem. But thanks for your help.
Just for future reference, how did you go about fixing the problem? Perhaps someone will benefit from it in the future.
Sorry for responding so late, but all you have to do is go to play, playback devices, audio engine options and then clean up. After that restart the program and you should be ready. From what I'm gathering it seems to be a issue with garage band and Sib. don't know what the problem is, but the two don't seem to get along with each other.
The problem you were having is related to ReWire.  Garageband can function as both a ReWire host and client and it doesn't release the ReWire connection properly whenever it's closed down.  That Clean Up button essentially repairs the ReWire settings of Sibelius.

I experienced something similar months ago, but didn't realize that you were running Garageband at the same time.  In the future, you shouldn't having Garageband and Sibelius running at the same time.
So you are saying don't have garageband and sib. open at the same time? Because I never had them both open at the same time.

Correct.  Garageband is not exactly great about releasing ReWire, so you might experience this problem after running Garageband as well, on occasion.  Regardless, it's good that you were able to hone in on the problem - thanks for reporting it!
Ok that's the lest I can do you guys have help me so many times just glad I can help.
