So, the new VDL 2.5.2 update supports the use of Kontakt Player 4 in Sibelius 6. Last night I installed Sibelius 6.1.1, patched it to Sibelius 6.2 and installed Kontakt Player 4. Then I restarted Sibelius.
Kontakt Player 2 appears as an option for sound playback, but there is no listing or mention of KP4. What do I need to do to make Sibelius see KP4?
Is Kontakt 4 listed as a Available Device if you go to Play > Playback Devices? If so, does it become available if you Activate it?
Is Kontakt 4 listed as a Available Device if you go to Play > Playback Devices?
No, it is not listed as an available playback device. That's what I meant when I said it was not an option for sound playback. Sorry for not being more technically clear.

Close Sibelius then navigate to C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt 4\VSTPlugins 32 bit. Right-click on the Kontakt 4.dll and choose Copy.
Navigate to C:\Program Files\Sibelius Software\VSTPlugins. Right-click in this folder and choose Paste.
Re-launch Sibelius then go to Play > Playback Devices. Does it show in the Available Devices list now? If not, click Audio Engine Options then click Rescan under 'Rescan Virtual Instruments and Effects'.
