So I have used Finale to write my percussion scores since 2001. I have used VDL ever since it first came out. But I have just started learning Sibelius (I bought Sibelius 5 last year, just didn't use it then b/c I was already in the middle of a few projects) -- I have to say, it is amazing. How did I ever go this long without using it!! It works seamlessly with VDL 2.5, and man, the Sibelius 5.2.5 template is awesome. I am loving life right now haha.
For what it's worth, you're going to like Sib Template 6.0a more than 5.2.5 when you upgrade to Sibelius 6 someday.
Happy writing!!

To reinforce Hugh's sentiments about Sibelius 6, the added feature of Magnetic Layout alone makes the upgrade worth it.

I second that statement.

And Template 6.0a is the only Sibelius template that has the VDL 2.5.2 library update items built into it.

Sorry, had to share. No more Finale for me!
