Hello, I am currently using VDL 2.5 and Finale 2010b (with Finale 2010b template) along with kontakt 2 and windows 7.  I have tried everything possible to get the sounds to play back, but I am getting no luck.  Is there any place to find a real tutorial on how to configure this?  I found a page on here with several tutorial, but all of the links lead me to a page that said ";page not found";.  Any help is great.  Thanks!

I'm away from my home computer to give specifics, but my first suggestion is to review the Read Me file which came with the template.

What specifically are the problems with your playback? There are 3 files which need to be placed in the correct folders. The Percussion Layout and Text Expressions should be in the Finale 2010/Library folder and the xml file goes in the MIDI Device folder. This last one, the xml file, should be in a folder with other xml files (Garritan Instruments for Finale, General MIDI, SmartMusic Soft Synth, and Tapspace Drumline for Finale. The Tapspace Drumline for Finale is a reduced set of the full VDL 2.5 sounds so don't confuse it for the full version.

If you have used VDL with Finale prior to the FIN10 template, then all of the VDL/Kontakt Player files should already be in the correct locations.

In the future, the more detail the better as we attempt to resolve problems. ";I have tried everything possible"; does not tell us exactly what you have tried. Let us know if this solves the problem or if there is additional information you can provide.
