Have a private student whose fingers are disproportionately long to his hands. It's pretty much impossible for him to wrap his fingers around the stick, he always ends up with the top knuckle being straight. He's adjusted how he plays to it, but should I be concerned about long term muscle damage? Does ";Stick Yoga"; address my problem? :)
Thanks.

I have long fingers. I've had to modify my technique slightly my entire playing career. Now, that being said, if the concern is uniformity of technique-I've found that by simply rolling the implement out of my palm slightly and further into my ";finger pocket"; helps.
