Sibelius VDL set up

I'm really sorry if this has already been covered in another topic, but I wasn't able to find it.  I'm in the middle of switching from Finale to Sibelius, and am having trouble figuring out how to run VDL as a plug in for Sibelius.  Here's what I'm running on.

Imac 64 bit processor with OSX 10.6.8
Sibelius 7 with most current updates (7.0.2)
Kontakt Player 2
VDL 2.5 with most recent library updates

It was a long time ago when I set up VDL with Finale 2010, and I seem to remember having to copy some files into a Finale folder, but there is no folder of program files that I can find for Sibelius, and I have no idea what those files were called.  I've looked through my user guide, but at the time I bought VDL, Sibelius 5 hadn't even been released yet, so there was no actual info about setting up VDL as a plug in (only as a stand alone software).  Now, no matter where I look, I can't seem to find even how to get VDL running with Sibelius 5.  I'm probably looking in the wrong place, so if someone can just provide a link, that's totally fine.  I know that there is no way to run KP5 yet with Sibelius 7, but I'm not sure if KP2 is up to date enough.  Again, sorry if this is already answered somewhere.
Try this link and see if this helps. I know because I've been trying to get my Sibelius 6 working with my mac. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7BFAGOFOSo&list=PL6D748A995720A4AB&index=2
I don't think Sibelius 7 will recognize Kontakt Player 2. I believe they're aware of the KP5 issue which should hopefully be fixed in an upcoming build, at which point that's what you should use.

In the meantime, Kontakt 4 Player would be your best bet. Try contacting Native Instruments for the installer, or submit a support ticket on the Tapspace site to see if someone may be able to help you through it.

Sibelius 7 will see KP2, but only in 32-bit mode.

I'd go ahead and try to get Kontakt Player 4 setup though. That'll be you best bet for now. Follow the instructions in this thread if you run into issues.

Ah, thanks for the correction, Hugh. If you decide to try it in 32-bit mode, select your Sibelius 7 application icon, do a ";get info,"; then check the box that says ";open in 32bit mode."; Then next time you launch Sibelius 7, you may have better luck with KP2.
Thanks for the help everyone.  Looks like I'm in a little bit of a weird place, as I still have Kontakt 2.2.2, and 2.2.4 or higher is required to run with Sibelius 7 (even in 32 bit mode).  In the mean time, the only version of Kontakt available is K5, which as we know won't run with Sibelius yet.  This is just my luck.  I've emailed the folks at NI to see if they would try to set me up.

Thanks again.

You should be able to update to Kontakt Player 2.2.4 through the NI Service Center.
atucker85 - If you're not seeing a Kontakt Player 2 updater in Service Center, instead, download the VDL 2.5.1 library updater. It will install KP 2.2.4. Once you've done that, I suggest you re-update the library to 2.5.2.
OK, I'm updated to KP 2.2.4, have the write score sibelius 6b template, copied the xml for that template into my newly created scores folder under sibelius 7, and I'm running Sibelius in 32 bit mode.  I'm still not getting VDL sounds.  I'm sure I'm missing something.  I've tried opening my template, as well as another file sent to me by a friend which was written from a Sibelius 6 VDL template.  Neither will register said sounds.  When I look in the ribbon under play>configuration, I see the 32 bit Sibelius 5 sounds in addition to the Sibelius 7 stuff that was present in 64 bit mode, but no KP.  Am I looking in the right place?
Are you looking in the ";Active Devices"; column, or the ";Available Devices?"; Did you relaunch sibelius after you updated your KP2 plugin. Better yet, rebooting your system might be a good measure.

By the way, Sibelius 7.0.3 was released today. With that, you should be able to use KP5, which should not require you to run in 32-bit mode. Ultimately, this would probably be the best solution. Hang in there!
Mr. Casella, and everyone else, my front guy Sean and I got everything up and running today.  Running on KP2.2.4 for the time being.  I have downloaded/installed Sibelius 7.0.3.  Do we know for sure that KP5 runs with that update?  I couldn't find anything in the info about the update that confirmed that.

Thanks to everyone for all of your help.
