Metal Combo - Problems

-My Specs -
VDL: 2.5.2
Kontakt 5 - not füll version
Finale 2012.a
Mac: Lion 10.7.3, Processor: 3.06 GHz Intel Core i3, Memory 4GB 1333MHz RAM
VDL is a plugin for my Finale Project

My problem is simple. I have every bit of new/updated information for both Finale and VDL. I have the sound maps working, the percussion layout, and am getting the sounds from Finale through Kontakt 5. Everything works great when I open the Kontakt player from Finale's score manager. I choose Metal Combo from Kontact player, I have the correct channel coming through, I choose Metal Combo Sound Map, and Percussion Layout.

My issue is that even though through the player I hear every sound incorporated with Metal Combo, I can not get all the sounds to speak through finale when I begin composing using it. Some sounds do show, but not all of them. Why? I mean I see all the sounds that are associated with the plugin through the staff. I hear all the sounds from the Kontakt player, but for some reason I can not get them both to talk. Like I said, some of the sounds do sound and they are for the right names, but most of them I hear nothing. And I am not sure why? Thanks.
Which, if any, templates are you using?
I am using the VDL2.5 Metal Combo (Auto RL)
Sorry, didn't answer the question. I am not using a template. I went into score manager and added the instrument Accessories and then changed to Kontakt 5 and made it metal combo and then changed the sound map to FIN12_VDL Combo Racks Vocals - Metal Combo (Auto RL) and then changed the percussion layout to VDL2.5 Metal Combo (Auto RL)

We need to clarify some terminology.

1. Templates are Finale files used for notation. They are similar to any Finale file created for notation. However, they also include files for Percussion Layouts and a VDL Library. Have you purchased the Finale 2012 template package from The Write Score? If yes, are you working with one of these files? There are three in the package (Ensemble, Battery, Basic).

2. The SoundMap technology is provided with Finale 2012 and currently do not support VDL. You do not need SoundMaps to work with VDL. Percussion MIDI Maps (the XML files available with a template package purchase) are not the same thing. You do need both the Percussion MIDI Maps (XML files) and Percussion Layouts.

If you have not yet done so I suggest you review the Readme file which came with the Finale 2012 VDL template package, do the Finale tutorials, and consult the Finale Help Menu.
Works perfectly. I FINALLY understand the relationship between VDL and Finale. Thank you so much for your input!
