I recently had to install a new hard drive onto my laptop. While reinstalling VDL, I got the following messages while trying to activate. (I hope the screenshots are visible...)
I tried logging in to Native instruments website to check if my registered products are there, it's not. So, no VDL as a registered product.
I'm guessing the problem is that the registration is attached to the info from my previous hard drive? I have only used one account to activate VDL.
This is the error you get when you're either A) trying to register using someone else's serial number, or B) accidentally created two NI User accounts for yourself, so the serial number doesn't associate with the account you're logged in with.
Hmmm, that's strange, as I've always used the same email address, and I certainly have my own copy/serial number. I've only created one account with NI as well...
Thanks!

In your screenshot (above) it shows that you're logged into Service Center with a nyu.edu email address. If you have another NI account (hotmail for example), it would appear you have two NI accounts. You should log into Service Center using the NI account to which the serial is registered.

Hi Steve,
Welcome to the forum. It looks like your problem isn't really related to this post. I would suggest you either start a new topic with some more specifics on what you've done, and include some details about the resulting errors. Alternately, you can submit a support ticket. Either way, please provide some specific description of what you've done so someone can provide some informed suggestions rather than just guessing.

Not sure what to do.
