I'm running Sib 6 on Windows 7 with VDL 2.5 and Konkakt 5. I have a VDL soundset XML file in the correct folder (see screenshot), but when I activate the Kontakt player in Sibelius, it doesn't show up as an option (see screenshot). I can play the sounds in Kontakt, so the samples are all there and working properly. I've also tried to make my own soundset with Sibelius' soundset editor and it doesn't show up either. Any idea of what I'm doing wrong?

Your version of Kontakt has to say ";VST (Kontakt)"; under the ";Type"; column in the Sibelius Playback Devices window. Different versions of Sibelius are very finicky about which versions of Kontakt they'll allow to appear as this type of device if you're intending to use their auto-loading features. There's a chart of which versions of Kontakt are compatible with which versions of Sibelius here.
In short, Sibelius 6 doesn't like Kontakt 5. Instead, you should use Kontakt 4. Registered VDL users may request an installer for that by filling out a support ticket.
