Native Instruments has discontinued Kontakt 4 Player, but they are permitting us to provide it to registered VDL users who may still need it. This isn't public on our webstore, however you can find it here. Keep in mind, we'll need to manually verify your VDL serial number, and your download link may take 1-2 business days to arrive via email.

Since we released the 2.5.5 Library update for Virtual Drumline, many users who were still using Kontakt Player 2 have found they need to update to a more current, robust version of Kontakt. Currently, Kontakt 5 is the latest and greatest version available from Native Instruments.
Some host programs are not compatible with newer versions of Kontakt 5. For example, Sibelius users are finding that if they're using version 6, their software doesn't support auto-load features with the latest version of Kontakt.
