I just installed Sib 7.1.2 and VDL 2.5.5 and I have Kontakt 5 - I've installed the templates and sound sets from the WriteScore - everything in VDL seems to be fine, however, adding a snare stave causes some strange things. When I load a battery stave, the sounds all load up correctly (If i press the notes on the keyboard, everything is in the right place) however, when it enters the note, the note head is really small and doesn't play back the correct sound.
Any one have this same issue? Did I miss a step in the install/upgrade?
Does it happen with a fresh, non-tampered-with Sib template file? In other words, if you had just purchased the TWS template, unzipped that package, double-checked the XML sound set placement, configured your playback device correctly with the sound set, etc., and opened a fresh version of the template .sib document, does the behavior persist? It's tough to tell without more info, but it sounds like somehow your working file may have been altered in some way.

Hey Murray - thanks for the quick response.
I did start with a brand new sib 7 template - totally from scratch. The only thing that I did that may have changed it is import my own house style...would that do it?

Yes, that could definitely do it. If Sibelius sees that there are differences between noteheads lists, it will try to compensate for it. The end result can be added notes to the noteheads list, and then corrupted mappings. Since you're getting the ";strange"; noteheads during input, this seems the likely culprit.
What elements are you trying to import into the template?

Hi Hugh - did you get my file that I sent you? The house style has all of the font edits, and other cosmetic items I've accumulated over the years that make my scores look the way I want them to. Is there a way to import it into the template without screwing it up? Or do I have to start with the template and manually change the dozens of presets on everything?(::yikes::)
