It would help to know which notation program template version you are using currently. Until then, there isn't enough information in your post.

Right now I'm on a late 2011 macbook pro, i7 processor, 4 gigs of ram. Running sib 7 with vdl 2.5.5 update and the vdl template 7.0.

Can you attach a screen shot of your Playback Configuration?

Also, there's a [url=http://www.thewritescore.com/update-request.html]template update[/url] available. (VDL Template 7.0 does not support the new instrument/updated patches in VDL 2.5.5, however, VDL Template 7.0a does.)

OK, good, you are running the latest template.

Both instances of Kontakt Player need to have ";VDL SoundSet 7.0a"; assigned, not the one shown in the image. Swap that out and let us know if that doesn't fix you up.
