Hey Everyone,

Anybody have a good trick for simulating pitch bending or water bending with the metallic instruments in VDL (Vibes, Chimes, Almglocken, Opera Gongs, etc)? 

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!

In most cases, you can do this with the pitch bend wheel. This is easiest to do if you're using VDL instruments within a DAW like Logic/Cubase by simply playing or drawing it in. But with some effort, you can write or record these sorts of MIDI messages from within notation programs as well. Here's an article about doing it in Sibelius:

This sort of thing would be pretty straight ahead in Finale using its MIDI tool, I think.
