I have been wanting ask about this for a while now, but never could on this particular issue.  here is my set-up:

13"; Macbook Pro OSX
Version 10.8.2, 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5, 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Sibelius 7.1
VDL 2.5.5
Kontakt Player 5
Korg Microkey
writescore template 7.0a

I am using the 4.0 octave vibraphone and I would like to use the fan levels in Kontakt. I open up kontakt through the sibelius mixer, select the vibraphone, move the fan nobs to the desired position and press play.  The fan nobs then revert back to the default position.  Can anyone tell me why this happening and how I fix it?

Looks like the sound set is overriding the knobs you manually tweaked in Kontakt Player.

Normally you would use the Staff Text ";motor on";/";motor off";. However, you should be able to use MIDI commands, CC21 for FanLev and CC22 for FanSped, in the score for more precise control.
