Will I be able to run Virtual Drumline's latest version on this machine?

Actually, Virtual Drumline isn't really an application. It's just a library that you run within Kontakt Player as a plugin or standalone application. So really, the question is a matter of whether or not Native Instruments Kontakt Player will run on Windows 8.

And the answer is yes. Here's the Kontakt 5 Player Specifications page from Native Instruments verifying that it's compatible with Windows 7 and 8.
