Registration problem

I am an existing user of VDL. I just bought a new computer and tried to activate VDL on it. I got an error message saying that my serial number was locked in the NI Service Center. After talking to them, they said that they do not handle licensing and sent me here. I currently have VDL on my laptop only.  I did have VDL on a school desktop that I do not have access to. The IT department came in over the holidays and put new computers. What do I do from here?
