I ran into a problem that showed up for the first time today.
I'm running Sibelius 6.2, VDL 2.5.5, Write Score Template, on MacBook Pro 16 GB i7, and using the Combo Rack ";A"; for one of my parts.
This problem wasn't happening before but now, when I try to play back a section with the snare drum playing 5 stroke rolls (using the ";8 tremelo"; tool) the roll continues playing to infinity and beyond, regardless of what I've written.
I'm aware that you can input the notes using the VDL maps and there is a ";hit"; and ";roll"; button, respectively. However, I've entered each note as a ";hit"; but added the ";8 tremelo"; for notation purposes.
Should I strictly input rolls using the ";roll"; map and hits as the ";hit"; map? Is there a difference? And will notation make a difference depending on how I input a note?
Excuse me if my question isn't articulate enough - I will gladly rephrase, if needed.
