Virtual Drumline 2.5.5 & Sibelius 7.5 & Yosemite Crashes Constantly

for quite sometime now I have been working to the best of my ability with Sibelius 7.5 despite it crashing on a quite consistent basis. I believe it has something to do with the Yosemite operating system but am unsure what exactly to do.

I had an online help appointment with AVID last week where they spent a good 1.5 hours fixing it by reinstalling everything and changing some permissions for certain application folders and everything seemed fine until my appointment was over and it crashed again  as soon as I saved something after working with AVID on the issue. It continues to crash on startup, file saving, pdf exporting, etc...

I am just curious if anyone on here has had similar trouble or and any luck getting Sibelius 7.5 to work with OS X Yosemite and Virtual Drumline.
I haven't heard of this happening before, but that doesn't mean it hasn't. Troubleshooting with Avid would have been my suggestion too. I wonder if it's something else in your system conflicting with your Sibelius installation. Depending on how many old cache files and old preferences you have kicking around, particularly if they were left over after migrating from a previous operating system, systems can get less reliable over time.

It's also possible that it could have something to do with the file you're working with. Are you able to reproduce the crash using a fresh, clean file?

Try posting in the Sibelius forums as well. It's likely there are some smart people there that could offer some suggestions.
I'm having the exact same problem. I was thinking that it may be a Kontakt 5 player issue because whenever I use the stock Sibelius sounds-no crashes. Any advice appreciated. I really need VDL to run for my applications.
Ablemusic, are you able to reproduce a crash when working from a fresh, new file? Also, I'm wondering if you updated to Yosemite at some point, or if your computer came with Yosemite installed. Or more accurately, did you migrate your account from a previous computer, or did you install everything fresh when you got this machine? It's possible that could have some affect.

You might also want to try using Kontakt Player 4 rather than 5, though my instincts say that's not the solution. You can get an installer for K4 by submitting a support ticket.
