Issues with VDL 2.5.5 and Sibelius set up

Hello,

I recently installed Sibelius 7.1.3, Kontakt 5, Virtual Drumline 2.5.5 and The Write Score Sibelius Template 7.0a on a new iMac. I thought I followed all the guides but I must have left out a step or something is in the wrong place. Virtual Drumline isn't showing up as possible playback configuration and the write score template isn't showing up in as an option when I start a new score. I also noticed that all the available devices (including kontakt 5, which is the one I am trying to activate) are greyed out when I look at the playback Devices within a score. I have attached a screen shot of my playback devices menu. The only active device is the Sibelius Player and I can not choose any of the others.

Thoughts on how to get all of this working together? I have looked all over the forums (sibelius, write score, tapspace) and haven't found an answer to this exact issue.

I feel dumb because I successfully set all this up on my previous Macbook Pro but it was a few years ago. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Jesse

Hi Jesse,

You're probably going to slap your forehead, but all you need to do is create a new playback configuration and assign a few Kontakt devices and set the corresponding sound set for your template. Just click that big ";New"; button to create a new configuration, then build it the way you want it.

Your screenshot shows that you've loaded the Sibelius Sounds configuration. This is a built-in playback configuration that is not editable, which is why all those available devices are greyed out.
