Lost DVD but still have all the files! Possible to install on another computer?

Hello,

I lost my VDL install disc several years ago in a move.  I just bought a new MacBook to replace my crusty old one, and need to install VDL on it.  I have all the VDL files on my desktop, and was wondering if it is possible for me to just copy all the files over to my new MacBook via thumb drive? I tried doing it, but VDL does not show up in the NI Service Center as an installed program, and therefore I cannot register it for use.  Do I have to purchase the downloadable install replacement disc, or is there a way to get it to recognize VDL?

You should be able to do this just fine. VDL will not show up in Kontakt until you go through the process of ";Adding"; the library into Kontakt. Do this by launching Kontakt, clicking the ";Add Library"; button, then navigating to the location of your fully-populated ";Virtual Drumline 2.5"; library folder.

Once you've done that, I recommend you quit Kontakt before activating. Next, launch Service Center, log in with your NI account, then activate your VDL library there.

Just in case you receive any errors in Kontakt during this process, please have a look at this article:

If you ever need to replace your lost DVD with a direct download version of the library, you can learn more about that process here:
