Mordent

Does anyone know how to add a Mordent symbol to the Keypad (Custom Articulation 1)?
Hey John!

I think this will help you.

1. Bring up the notations tab and click the box on the lower right. That will bring up the symbol editor dialog box.

2. Scroll down to articulations. You will see 3 blank boxes on the top line. Click one of the blanks and click edit.

3. Select the mordent and click OK.

4. It is then linked to the corresponding box in the fourth keypad window (I think it is the fermata).

I don't think the mordent symbol will show up in the keypad. You will have to remember which box it is in. However, if you click it, it will pull up the symbol you selected.

If someone else has a better remedy. Let me know! I am more of a Finale guy unfortunately. However, I am learning.
Thanks Luke.  It did work on the Custom Articulation button.  But the symbol didn't show up on the keypad.  Does the box(es) on the Custom Articulation stay on the ";box"; shape even if you have a symbol set up on there?
To my knowledge, that is correct. The custom articulations will keep the box icon. I am not a Sibelius pro yet. So, someone else may want to chime in with information on how to alter the icon in the keypad to correspond with the correct articulation.

Correct, CA button icons do not change when one is applied.
